For those of you that still do not know we found out the sex of the new baby last week. We are excited to announce that we will be having a little girl. This came as such a surprise to me. I thought for sure we would have another boy. When Steph and I talked about it she asked me if I was excited to have lil girl? I told her that I was excited and nervous all at the same time. She said did you really think we would have another boy... well ofcourse I did. She then asked me did you think you would have all boys? I simply told her "uhh yeah I am a boy". She looked at me strangely and said seriously? I told her that I did in fact think we would have all boys simply because I was a boy and figured that this is what I made... boys. So you can understand now how shocked I was to find out we were having a girl. I have since asked myself how am I going to do this? You see since I am a boy it makes it alot easier on me having boys. I know how the plumbing works with boys, I know how they think, why they spit, why they scratch etc.. I have been a boy for 33 years now so it comes second nature in raising a boy for the most part. Ok now let me tell you what I know about woman... they smell nice, usually have long hair.........................................................................................................................................................

................................................................................................................................................................

................................................................................................................................................................

did I mention they smell nice? Seriously I don't completly understand what to expect.

I do know that I am extremely excited to have a little girl and decided I better get back into the gym and start pumping iron again for that day when the guys start coming to call on her. I wonder how I will handle that with my lil girl's first date... I think of things like this and get nervous, scared, excited, nervous, happy, nervous, happy, nervous. I can't wait to see her and hold her! I am very excited for Rykon to have a new sister and to show the ropes to. I think he will be a great big brother, and will really enjoy having someone else in the house. So I guess that raps up my thoughts for the day. Till we post again. Here's to you Lil' Baby Girl!

Love Daddy

Made my heart swollen...

This is a blog that I wanted to post a few weeks ago, but have not been able to until now. We went to a Pumpkin Patch Festival of sorts in Marsing Idaho. We went out there to pick a pumpkin and listen to some live blue grass music etc. After we picked out our pumpkins we decided to take Rykon on his first Hay Ride. We walked by a boot that was selling fresh Kettle Corn so we decided we would buy some for the hay ride. Well after loading up on the back of a flat bed trailer with hay bail seating and a tractor as our horse we headed down the old dirt road. There were about 18 people on the ride. Across from Rykon and I was a little boy about a year older than Rykon. The young boy was with his mom and his grandmother. While the three of us ate the kettle corn I reached the bag across the ride and offered it to the young boy. He gently placed his small hand into the still warm bag. He was grateful and his momma told him to say thank you which he gladly did. This is where it gets good. After the small boy finished his small handful Rykon pointed at him and said to me more popcorn. He was asking me to give more popcorn to this boy again. I smiled and fulfilled the request and once again the boy placed his hand into the bag and gently removed 4 to 5 pieces. Now Steph and I know that Rykon has at this point in his nature a very giving heart, but what happens next I did not expect. After this boy finishes his last piece Rykon takes the bag and walks across the ride and opens the bag for the boy again to share his treat. After the boy takes a third handful Rykon side steps and opens the bag and offers it to his grandma, she smiles ear to ear and takes a few pieces out and tells Rykon thank you. He then side steps again to the boys mom and offers her some also. She smiles also and takes a few kernels. He comes back over to me and sits down. After about 60 seconds he walks across the ride again and offers the small boy more, the grandma more, and the mom more. They all comply and this is what gets me. After he finishes with these three people he then begins moving towards the front of the ride to my amazement and starts offering each person his treat. The people all were amazed and blessed by this child's willingness to share and offer his own snack with them and would smile and say thank you. He slowly walked to each person while the ride continued and offered to every adult and child a handful of his Kettle Corn. He did not stop once and look at Steph or I but kept at the task at hand until it was complete. I can honestly say that I have never been so proud of my young son as I was at that very moment. I watched the peoples reactions and there facial expressions as he willingly served each person. I saw firsthand how one small 23 month old boy brought a whole group of people together in one moment and brought joy and happiness to there faces and there life's. It was amazing how each person after this incident began talking and laughing with one another. It truly was a blessing and a memory that I will never forget.

Thank you God for our Blessing!

Americans and our Health.

America, home of the free and land of the brave! I could not have said it any better. A country where we have freedom of speech and religion. Where we have the right to keep and bear arms, a country that I will forever love and fight for. And a country that has the right to be over weight and unhealthy. In fact I read an article published by the US Centers for Disease Control Prevention that in the year 2005 alone the US spent $2 Trillion in health care expenditures. They claim this was an increase from 2004 of 6.9%. Excuse me did you say $2 Trillion??? I thought so. I have deep sadness for this great country of mine with all of the news articles and people I speak with in the Health Care profession. I guess I have just had the wool pulled over my eyes and it seems many Americans have also. I have always considered myself to be a healthy person and I exercise on a somewhat regular basis. My reason for the sudden interest in my health is two fold. One I am the sole provider for my wife and I and two I have a son that is currently 23 months old. I was told most recently that the generation my wife and I are a part of is going to be the first generation to out live there children! That alone nearly took me to my knees. The next thing I learned was that they are forecasting that all children born after the year 2000 will have a 50% chance of having diabetes at the age of 30! That again took the air out of my lungs.

So with hearing this I did my own study to see what is going on in our country and to make it more personable what is going on in my own home with health. I am planning on writing a few posts over the next week to share with you the statistics that I have found and share with you what I am doing and what I have seen to help my family and help those of you that would like to know what we can do to help change our country's health and especially our own family's.

I will provide you with charts and graphs that have helped me see what is happening. I know you will be surprised and blessed by the info. The more you know the more you can help your family. Please ask any questions you might have and I will see if I can help. Please keep in mind I am not a Doctor and will in no way try to diagnose any problems or offer any real medical help. I am just wanting to inform people to what is going on and also some solutions that I believe in with all my heart and want to help as many people as I can. See you soon.
Rich

Quail Anyone?

Hello my friends. It is that time of the year again. The mornings have a slight sharpness of chill early before the sun comes up, and the grass has a white dew upon it. We are only one more full day away from the official opening of bird hunting. One of my favorite birds to hunt is the California Quail. They are a very beautiful bird and are very vocal at times. They will typically run a small amount and then covey up on a large sage brush or weed patch before exploding into the cool fall morning air. One of the nicest things about hunting quail is that Idaho has a great deal of them and it is very seldom that you will go home empty handed when quail hunting. That is of course unless you miss everything. The dog pictured above is my dog Husker's dad. He is a champion field dog that is built to hunt. This will be Huskers 3rd year of hunting with me. His first experience of hunting was when he was only 6-7 months old. He more or less would just run around and get into things. I lost him probably a handful of times in a few corn fields which ends up being a search and rescue mission for nearly an hour per incident. The next year which was last year I was able to train him and work with him before the season which made all the difference. He did extremely well with quail. The pheasants hunting was a bit more of a challenge for him simply because they run so much. Husker really seems to have a knack for finding quail and once he finds them he will lock up tail pointing straight in the air until we flush the birds and take aim. I am hoping to have some pictures of him this year. It is such a spectacular scene to watch your dog go on point. This is the whole reason that I put up with him all year eating my yard, digging holes, jumping the fence and running away. He has a lot to make up for over the past few months! We will see how he does. This Saturday morning at 7am we will see how things go.

To Be Continued

Recent Summer Days...

Is these or ain't these just amazing pics? I really love the one with the Frog. I was not sure if the Lil' Man was going to be down with Kermit, but he took it all in stride as you can see from the picture he is one with the frog! It has been a lot of fun hanging out with all the family the past few months. We have had some great times and have made some lasting memories. I know that Rykon will enjoy looking back at these pictures. We were up in Idaho City doing some panning for Gold. It was to bad because we really did not find any color in them there hills, but we did find some gems while hanging out with the family. Love you all and we will chat soon.
Late!
R

Dove is in the Air!

That is right my friends it is September 1st yet again. Today is the official day when Fall begins. College Football fans can be heard around the country and the smell of gun powder is in the air. There is a a small but nice sharpness in the air today which means only one thing... Hunting Season has begun. Today we will head out around 4pm and try our luck on some various spots for the doves. The dove are alot of fun to shoot. They are quick and agile and do not fly in a straight pattern which makes them even more difficult to shoot. I am already looking forward to Quail and Hun opening which will be in about 20 days. Then onto the bird I love to hunt most Pheasant! Pheasant will not open until October 18th this year which will give plenty of time to hunter and dog to harness there skills and prepare themselves. I wish everyone the best and we will see how we fair.

Honey anyone?

Some of you may know or some of you may not know that I have honey bees in the backyard. This is a hobby of sorts that I got introduced to by my Pops when I was a kid. We had a bunch of honey on the combs inside the hive and I was outside with Rykon a week ago and I decided to take some out and let the boy experience a new thing. Steph got these great pics for us to share. Now how many people can say that they have actually eaten honey right out of the hive? This was something I was glad to let Rykon try. As you can see the boy enjoyed it to the point that we had to strip his clothes off and into the shower with dad. It was fun watching his face light up each time he grabbed another fistfull of honey and jam it into his mouth.
Oh Beehave!

Pimpin the Deere...

Ok here it is...
I have been waiting now for over 20 months to see the boy wear a hat and keep that hat on! We bought him this hat when he turned one. The problem with the hat at that time was that it was to big and he did not want anything to do with it. Well yesterday at lunch Steph put the hat on and he pimped it for over an hour. So I am the proud dad of a boy wearing a hat. I couldn't be happier! Life is so good when you can look at the little things that make a huge thing better! The best part is not only the fact he is rockin' the hat, but he is rockin' the Deere.
Po Pimp Player for life!

Good lookin out Girl!

A special shot goes out to my wife for Fathers Day. She planned a great day for us on Sunday. After church my wife and I loaded up the Jeep with all the fix ins she made that day. Fried Chicken homemade potato salad, watermelon, fresh rolls. Then as we pulled out of the driveway she let me know where we were headed. The St. Chapel winery had a Fathers Day event in Marsing. So after about 35 minutes we arrive. There was a great turnout and a live band that was very good and fun to listen to. Marc Hamilton and his wife and little girl met us out there shortly after. We just laid around and listened to the music while eating. After eating my son and I ran around and played for awhile. It was a really fun time. She also gave me a very nice card and a new money clip with my initials engraved on it to replace my worn out one. We later joined up with her folks and family and ate a bit of food and played a few rounds of bad mitten. Then we headed over to my folks to wish my dad a happy fathers day and then onto the house. The Lil' Man didn't get a chance to take a nap all day. He did get a 5 minute cat nap just before we left Marsing. All in all I felt very loved and appreciated. Thanks Babe.

A special shot out goes to all the dads who do it day in and day out. It is on us to lead our families both spiritually and financially.

God Bless

du dat ta cycle

As I sit on the floor in an empty vacant home while doing an open house I thought it would be a great time to write. This past weekend Steph and I bought Rykon this small box of 5 motorcycles. He seems to have some type of obsession with them now... thanks Rob... Well there are 5 motorcycles that are about 5 inches long and stand about 2-3 inches tall. The package contains one blue Yamaha dirt bike, a Suzuki street bike, Honda CBR, a Harley Davidson chopper, and I am not sure what the other one was. Well I decided to pace ourselves and see what he thought of them. I gave him two of them. He eyes both of the bikes in my hand and instantly yells du dat ta cycle which simply put means motorcycle. Not sure why he does not sound out the "m" since he can say more and ma ma. Well the small gift was a huge success! Since Saturday night both motorcycles have toured the concrete of the driveway, the wood paved roads of the flower beds, the tall light brown weeds aka the living room carpet and the smooth cruising surface of the tile floors in the kitchen. All in all I think we have surpassed the 6 months or 2,500 mile bumper to bumper warranty on both bikes. He has pushed and pulled those two bikes for miles. It brought back memories of my childhood. We had similar toys that we put nearly 30,000 miles on... I have the calluses on my knees to prove it! All in all I am well pleased that $10 today still goes a long way for the happiness of one small boy. Have a great day!

God Bless.

Butterfly kisses

I almost forgot... Yesterday I was hosing out the garage as I do every week, and I saw this huge yellow monarch butterfly. Now I don't know where you are from, but I use to remember when I was a kid seeing butterflies all the time. I just realized at that time that it is so rare for me to see butterflies anymore. I actually found myself just standing there outside the garage watching this massive yellow insect float and flutter around in the sun for nearly 5 minutes. I have a side to me that always enjoys thinking back to the old days yes I said it the old days of being a kid. I think I am saying this right. This was Steph's second time and mine and Rykon's first. Well we split a meal together, and I wish I would of had my camera. Rykon and I both tried for the first time a grape leaf wrapped thing. Shows you how much I know. It was actually really good, and the boy seemed to love it also. We ate a bunch of really great food and we all enjoyed watching the dancers perform there cultural dances. It was alot of fun and I look forward to it again next year. This rivalry has been in hibernation since 1987 and now we have awaken the Giant! The last time these two Franchises met I was 12 years old and gas was only a $1.30 per gallon. For those of you that do not understand the history of this rivalry you should do some research about it. This is why ratings on the NBA have gone off the charts since these two teams have clinched there respective Division Titles. Sport Guru's claim that the most popular team in America is of course the Los Angeles Lakers followed by number two the Boston Celtics. The Boston Celtics have won an amazing 16 NBA Titles and the Lakers have won 14. The Lakers have won many over the past 10 years, while the Celtics have not won a title since the 85-86 season. This would be a great thing to watch for those that are fans and for those that are not fans. The story line behind both of these teams and the rivalry that is portrayed is second to none. This is a must watch TV event. The 1st game is tonight on ABC. Have fun watching and as always
GO LAKERS!!!!
Out!

I am back in the game!

Hello to everyone! I appreciate your devotion to our family and to raising Godly children. Each minute that you spend is just another minute that God blesses us with the opportunity to raise him in a good envrioment. You endure the ups the downs, the sickness, the crying, the dirty diapers, and the smiles. I just wanted to thank you in a different way than usual. GATOR!
Ok the question that I poll the audience with is simply this.

When is a boy to young for his first green and yellow John Deere Gator?

I long for the day that he climbs into his first trusty Gator. His head filled with visions of transporting dirt and rocks from one job site (our backyard) to the other. He carefully loads his stout, and rugged friend with its 35 pound payload. As he strategically maneuvers it down the old dirt road aware of it's imperfections (dog poop). He pulls up to his destianation with a pure sense of joy. A joy that a man can atest to with a job well done. He unloads himself from his machinery, and pulls firmly on the lever to dump his cargo. His load is poured with pinpoint accuracy. The sweat from under his John Deere hat pauses for a momment on his brow. He looks up to his Foreman for approval. The Foreman looks down with a grin, picks him up, and tells him how proud he is of his accomplishments. After the boy recieves his accolades he crawls back on to his Gator, and repeats the process.
That is why I feel that after his 1st birthday that following spring. The boy and I will go and kick some tires and maybe test drive a few Gators. Then we will haggle a bit with the dealer, and eventually that afternoon the boy and I will drive his new Gator onto the jobsite (our driveway) and begin our chores.

Skiing?

Well I saw this picture today and it reminded me that I have not gone up on the hill to ski at all this season.

Downhill skiing is one of my favorite things to do, and I did not buy a pass this year simply because I was afraid I would not get to use it. Along with that we met another group that is running around 50 that meets on Wednesday nights. I got to talk with the leader of the group, and he talked about his vision, and the things God has been giving him visions about. Well it is a God thing because they were exactly the same things I feel God has given us a vision of. Wow are you kidding it is so amazing to see what God is doing on a very liberal campus. We are talking about helping one another out, but what is even crazier to think about is the leader whose name is Mark talked to me on tuesday night about what he thinks God is going to do. He talked to me about Nazareth. You know the little town where Jesus was from. Well if you really study Nazareth you will realize that this was a small town kind of an armpit of everyone else right. Well this town wasn't really known for anything and really nothing was ever expected to come out of it. Well he said look at Boise. We are kind of the same way. I mean if you go anywhere outside the borders of Idaho and you tell people where you are from they quickly say "Potato Land" or something like that. Well up until this last year or two some people are starting to think about it where Boise State Football has become a popluar item around the country. Anyways he feels and believes, and strangly enough this is what I envisioned a long time ago, that Boise will be the next Nazareth. Think about it. This will be the place where a great movement will start, and will affect, Eugene, then Portland, down to Salt Lake, to Seattle, to Denver, to California etc. You get the idea. Well God does use the weak things, or the small things for the biggest things to fullfill his Will. So be proud if you are either living in Idaho, or are from Idaho. We are on the move and we are going to see God move in this valley ironically called the "Treasure Valley". Maybe think of it this way. Why do you think all of these people are moving to Boise, and the surrounding areas? I truly believe it is more than just finding cheaper homes, and a safer place to raise their kids. Look threw it all and you will see His presence amongst us and our entire valley. Are you ready? Are you like Eleazar with your sword clasped in your hand. Are you like David running toward the front line to bring honor and glory to God at all cost without hesitation. The fight is coming! UNC poses a great outside inside game that should keep Zona busy on defense. However they are playing in the desert, and Zona is extremely tough to play at home. I am calling it right now. She was found in her home this morning dead. The authorities are calling it a homicide, and they do already have one suspect in custody. I guess his sister was killed in a pretty horiffic way. The family was not aware of it at all until they saw the news early this morning. It is a terrible thing when someoen looses a loved one, but when a life is taken in this terrible way it makes it even harder.
Please don't just read this and consider praying, but rather DO pray for them at this very momment. The whole family is just terribly upset, and are looking for anwsers. Pray that some how some way God would reveal Him self to the entire family. I know God is in complete control, but I just don't understand why??? Please join me in lifting up this family that has done so much for some many of us and have also gave of themselves so much to our church family!
Thank you!
Rich

Like Father like Son

Need I say anymore?

Synergy week 2

Week 2.
Well this past tuesday went really well. Marty spoke, and it went well. We had 7 to 8 new people all of which were not part of the new 5 from last week. However of the 5 from last week 2 of them came back for a 2nd go around. Marty and I am meeting this Satruday afternoon to chat and brainstorm about this semester and where it is headed and where we want it to go. We really need your prayers that our thoughts would be ones that God has placed there. We want to continue to strive and stay focused on God and keep Him and His priorities infront of our own. The momment that we take control is the momment we take it out of His hands. This is something I can say from many attempts at some great ideas all of which were mine looking back, but thinking it was God. It is hard to know if it is from God unless you ask Him. It is really simple yet we or should I say "I" make it more difficult... Lets practice. "God what is it that you would have us to do"?
Thanks again for your prayers. I can feel your prayers each week in our group. Please continue to pray for us with reaching this age gap that has been over looked by many people.
God Bless!

Hello Sunshine!

Well this picture best sums up what I have been feeling like the past two days. The temperature has not been warm, but it has been warmer than 15 degrees! I am so excited to see spring this year. There are so many things I look forward to. I can't wait to mow the yard, plant some flowers and give our less than a year old lawn some food! I am really wanting to go camping at least 2 times this year... thats a plan Rob! Anyways, I never really was a fisher, but I would like to start doing it a bit more so when the boy is older I have some idea of what kind of bait to use. Just after saying the word "bait" a movie automatically popped up in my head... I will quote the line and you tell me what movie it goes with. I am actually laughing right now and I am having a hard time typing because my mind is so weird that everything I hear or say is in some way attached to a movie, but anyways here it goes

Old man says, "Are there any dam questions"?

Other man says, "Yeah where can I get some dam bait"? Now I am not one to swear and if you have seen this movie then you will realize that I am not swearing, but simply ... well let me know what the anwser is and you will win a prize! There's one for ya philly...

Let God and the Spirit move you.

Ok let me feel you in on how Synergy went last night. Freaking Awesome! We had a great turnout. In fact we had 5 more new people that have never attend our group before, one of which was from Sac Town (Sacramento) and then another girl that came once last year early on came again last night and I think will be continuing to come. We were still missing a bunch of our regulars, but that is to be expected, because it sometimes takes a week or two for students to get back into the swing of things. I thank you for your prayers. I spoke on Eleazar and the battle he had a Pas Dammim which was the same place where David fought Goliath. If you want to read about the story a bit it is in 2 Samuel Chapter 23:9-10. The lesson went very well. As I stepped out of the way God and the Holy Spirit took control. Those nights are the best ones. Well we also pray every Thursday morning at 7am on campus. I encouraged everyone there last night to come to the first one because during the year there is like five or six of us so it will be cool to see what the turnout is. Well thank you again for your prayers. I am off to read the Word! I am speaking tomorrow, and I am pumped too see what God has in store for us this semester. As some of you probably know we officially combined two groups on campus which then became three groups on campus. The three churches recognized are Broadway Baptist, Eagle Christian, and Calvary Chapel of Boise. I am going to be speaking about Eleazar. I am really inspired by his warrior, and fearless mentality. It is a great story of how his sword and him become one. While spending the time really tearing this verse apart I can't help but be lifted, and almost get a cold chill down my spine. As we embark on this new semester, I ask for your continued prayers. As our group continues to grow, and if this semester is like last semester many new footsteps will continue to be drawn to the Lord and His Word. My prayer is that this semester we will see God take what we all learned last semester and grow upon it and put the words we hear and speak of into action. Let the generations that are upcoming be Godly leaders and mentors. I pray that we would begin to see a presence of our Lord in pockets around the campus. And as the pockets begin to penetrate what satan has placed his name and claim on that we will be able to wash away any imprint that he has on this campus with Christ's annointing blood. I love college students and I am truly blessed to be a small part in a battle that seems larger than life. We are on a very liberal campus! There was a boy that was jumped by another on campus one night last semester, and come to find out that the boy who was jumped was gay. Now I think it is terrible that this boy was jumped and I pray that this certain boy who claims to be gay would some day come to know the Lord. However since he was gay, there was a huge rally that was put on by I believe the students and the elected Student Body Members to make a statement that they think he should be treated equally as a straight would, and that he was only jumped because he was gay. Well I know of many people that were jumped in my day and all of them were straight, and I don't ever recall a huge rally of about a thousand students about the situation then, but for some reason or another there is one for this gay male. Well I pray that one day some students will rally and hold a rally about not teaching both evolution and about creation etc. I know this might seem a bit bold, but you understand what we are up against. My motto however is what it has always been... "kill them with kindness" it is hard for people not to like you or too down right hate you when you treat them like Christ would.

Spell check or proof read!

Ok well after reading my posts, I realized that I should probably go ahead and proof read my post before I submit them. They say that dogs are man's best friend. Well I would have to agree with that phrase. I mean no matter how angry you get with them, maybe forget to give them there food one morning when you were late for work or maybe have failed to just take some time out of your week to run them at the park or nearby field etc,. there tails keep a waggin. I think that most of us could learn alot from our canine friends. They truly love unconditionaly. They only ask for a small token of your time, and without fail they love you and get so excited to see you. I think it is hillarious how my three dogs will start talking to me when I walk out to the kennel in our garage to let the dogs out. They just want to be loved by you and want to please you in any way they can. However on the flip side, they are also the most expensive friend I have ever had. I don't recall ever having to bail a friend out of jail... well not yet anyways! My brother in-law Jake told me one time that the cheapest thing about a dog especially a hunting dog is the amount of money you spend to purchase him or her. Well let me just say this... "point taken." My most recent pup "Husker" my english pointer got out of the backyard by climbing the fence. Well he did not turn up at all the entire day, so the next day I went to the pound and had to bail him out. To make things worse, I guess he got into a nearby yard where some folks had some chickens and you do the math. I later in the week went to appologize and try to offer to buy some chickens for the lady, but she said that there was not need because the rooster that he ate was a family pet of 7 years. I almost started laughing inside. My crazy dog is just so full of energy! Let me put it this way. Husker makes coffee extremely nervous.
$575 to buy your first hunting dog
$300 to buy wireless collar
$135 to purchase hunting license in OR and ID
$130 to pay for vaccines
$35 to buy more wire for kennel where dog chewed threw metal
$125 to replace sprinkler line, sprinkler head, and two new shrubs eaten by dog
$45 to get dog out of pound
1 dead 7 year old rooster and your hunting dogs first kill - PRICELESS!

Fiesta Bowl 2007

Well what can I say? It has been four days since it all went down. The first pic is the view we had from our seats. I have to send out a shout to my boy Jarett for getting us such great tics! The pic doesn't really do the seats justice. The action was closer than it appears. I am just glad that I made the trip and that my wife let me go. Thanks to all of you who gave me money for Christmas to make this life changing experience happen. It is great when something comes along and touches all of our lives at the same time. It was interesting to find out that every single person that I spoke with about the game said the same thing. "It made me feel like I was 12 all over again!" I have to agree with the congregation. It is something I will never forget as long as I live and to think that this could be one of the best games ever played in the history of college football. One quick not I just heard today that our Offensive cordinator Coach Harsin just turned down
the offensive cordinator job that was offered to him by new Alabama Head Coach "Coach Saban". Wow that is crazy to think that he turned down a position like that in Alabama to stay at Boise State.
For those of you that missed it I strongly encourage you to follow and support the Broncos next year and then take a few road trips with them on the road. They were alot of fun to follow this year and will be even better next year. I really mean it when I say that I had a good time in Austin. Many of you might not realize, but in Austin you have rolling hills, lakes, rivers, and alot of green! The weather was very mild while we were there. It hung around 62 to 69 degrees for the 4 days. We saw the campus of Univ. of Texas along with the stadium which they were adding another 20,000 seats to make it upto 100,000 capacity. It was just a really nice time with Steph and her whole family. I would really consider living there. Real Estate was very affordable which I was really surprised by. Well all in all we had a great trip and Rykon was great on all of our flights down to Austin, and back.

Late

Hookem Horns!

Hello Texas! Yee haw!
That is right y'all me the wife and the boy are headed to Austin Texas tomorrow morn for Christmas! It is suppose to around 63 degrees tomorrow and again in Christmas day. I figure we will go see the Longhorns stadium and see some of the other sites while we are there. It should be interesting having Christmas in Texas. Just a quick reminder that it is only two days before both the Lakers, and the Cowboys have one more number added to the column with a big "W". That is right sorry to all Heat fans and Philly Beagles fans but the only thing you will be getting for Christmas this year is a fat lip! Bring it on, and Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
Out!

My huntin partner!

Well today was probably the last day that I will go hunting in '06. Well my new pup "Husker" is now about 7-8 months old, and it has been a interesting year. It is hard to really expect to much out of him, since I have never had a Pointer before, and I don't really know how to teach him. Well we saw around 400 phesants this year and I shot a total of 2 and did not find either of the downed birds. Oh well, it was an experience in itself. I am going to get Husker some training either this spring or early summer and by next fall the birds won't know what hit them!

Boise State, Lakers, Cowboys

Well I must say something since my teams are doing well this year.

Lets start with Boise State. I've got one word for you "Fiesta". Need I say anymore? I know I know we are a mid-major playing with the big boys, but come on. Any program that wins 9-12 games every year deserves a shot from time to time to see where they measure up with the rest of the 1-A powerhouses. So keep your eyes open on Jan. 1st for a great game and quite possibly an upset...

Next, I've gotta give a shot out to my boys down in LA. You have to agree they look a little like the "Showtime" Lakers of the 80's. I mean they are not even close to that era, but they are playing team ball and I get a kick out of the fact that Kobe can put up 40+ when he feels like it.

They are 16-8 and playing great team ball and they seem to be doing ok since Lamar has gone down. They will only get better with some new guys getting good minutes off the bench until he gets back. I am calling it right now. Lakers beating the Suns in 7 for a shot at the Ship this summer.

Lastly,

the Boys down in the "D". Is it Dr. Jekyll or is it Mr. Hyde? I mean you never really know who you are going to get. They get rolled at home by the Saints, and then they go down and take one from the Falcons. Well lets just call it what it is. They are 9-5, can you say "Playoff Birth". Well if we find some type of consistency then we might be the team to beat this year. Lets give it up for the Boys!

Late

1st Timer

Well many people are participating in this crazy thing called Blogging or myspacing, so I decided to break down and put one on.
